Tupalang HPP is an important and efficient hydropower facility

The Tupolang HPP is located in the Sariasi district of Surkhandarya region. Clean electricity is generated on the Tupalang River by the hydroelectric power plants “Tupalpng HPP”, “Zarchob-1" and "Zarchob-2".

To date, the total capacity of 2 hydroelectric units of 15 MW each at the HPP is 30 MW, after the modernization, the capacity of the HPP was brought to 175 MW.

It should be noted that the capacity of the hydroelectric power plants “Zarchob-1 " and "Zarchob-2" total 75 MW. In total, the capacity of all three stations reaches 250 MW.

This, in turn, is a practical proof of the work carried out in the Surkhandarya region in the direction of effective use of the existing hydropower potential, commissioning of new capacities, consistent provision of electricity to the population.
