Development of hydropower in the country over the past 5 years

During 2017-2022, 12 new hydroelectric power plants with a total capacity of 262.8 MW were commissioned and 16 HPPs were modernized

During 2017-2022, Uzbekhydroenergo JSC commissioned 12 new hydroelectric power plants with a total capacity of 262.8 MW and upgraded 16 existing power facilities.

As a result, the number of hydroelectric power plants (including a wind power plant) has reached 52.

Currently, the total installed capacity of Uzbekistan's hydroelectric power plants is 2,072.1 MW.
